Renowned as the ‘Matterhorn of the Himalaya’, the amazing, ice-coated granite pyramid, Amadablam; dominates the sky above the trail to the Everest Base Camp at a staggering height of 6,856 meters. Considered as a technical and difficult climb, the journey to the heart of the Himalayas involves trekking in the beautiful Everest trail before beginning your quest to summit Amadablam.
As you submit the peak, you will be left in awe with the surrounding views of the world’s tallest and most famous mountains such as the Everest Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and many more.
Your journey to the summit starts with a breathtaking flight over the Himalayas to the world’s most dangerous airstrip, Lukla. Thereafter, you follow the Everest Base Camp trail as you enter the commercial hub of the Sherpa capital, Namche Bazaar.

You then trek towards the Khumbu glacier and descend to Dingboche and move towards Chukung valley and Imja Tse base camp. You attempt to summit the giant after a night at the camp and enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the mountains.
Amadablam Expedition consists of 3 campsites before reaching the summit. You move further up to Camp 1 (5,700m) along with fixed trails and acclimatize and then return to base camp again. The camps above Camp 1 is difficult and rigid trails. Camp 2 and Camp 3 are mostly ice that makes it difficult and slippery.
The climb from Camp 3 to the summit is less technical and after two weeks you summit the peak and move back to the base camp. While at the summit, panoramic views of the world’s tallest and most popular peaks will definitely leave you mystified.
The view includes several eight-thousanders such as the Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), Cho Oyu (8,201m), Makalu (8,481m) and many more. The journey comes to an end when we fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla.
Even though the Amadablam expedition is risky, strenuous and considered as a technically difficult climb even for the most experienced of climbers; you get to what our appetite for thrills and adventure with the taste of glaciers, breath-taking views, stunning landscapes, and a surreal base camp.
All climbers need to have good skills in rock and ice climbing to qualify for the expedition. With our experienced climbers and porters, we always keep your safety checked. While you are out there making wonderful mountain memories, unwary of the risks that come with the beautiful mountains.
