What to experience while GokyoHeli Trek

The Gokyo Heli Trek passes through rhododendron and pine forests with spectacular mountains in the background and idyllic Sherpa villages that have a unique culture all their own. The experience of the unquestionable beauty of Gokyo blended with that of culture and awe-inspiring views is the greatest thing any trekkers could ask for. The pristine emerald color Gokyo Lake (4,870m) is stunning. The Gokyo trail passes the ridges of the Ngozumpa Glacier located to its west and is the longest glacier witnessed from this trek.

From above the ridges of Ngozumpa Glacier panoramic views of mountains such as Mt Cho Oyu (8,153m), Mt. Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,414m), and Makalu (8,481m) are visible. In addition, the trek offers hiking up to Gokyo Ri (5386m). Luckily the Gokyo Lake Heli Trek is not as popular so the trail is quiet and allows for wonderful solitude.
