After a thrilling flight to Lukla, the Island Peak via Everest Base Camp and Kongma La Pass trek starts with a hike up the Dudh Koshi Valley. The rising peaks of Thamserku (6,608m) and Kusum Khangkaru (6,367m) bounds this place. The trail then heads toward Namche Bazaar, a busy Sherpa land. From Namche, the trek moves on to Tengboche, home to the biggest monastery in the whole Khumbu region—Tengboche Monastery.
The trail then moves on past several Sherpa settlements like Pangboche, Pheriche, Dughla, and Lobuche. Then reaches the moraine trail of the Khumbu Glacier.
