Tilicho Peak Climbing 35-Days
Tilicho Peak Climbing is challenging at the same time rewarding peak that offers stunning views of the Himalayas. This is an interestingly technical, at the same time safe route. Along the way, there are lush green valleys, mesmerizing landscapes and various cultures of the Annapurna Region.
If you’re ready to take the step in your alpine desires and climb into the 7,000m range, this peak is tailor-made for you. Most noteworthy, Maurice Herzog is the first person to climb this peak in 1950. The climb was done in an attempt to find Annapurna I (8,091m) during a French Annapurna Expedition.
Besides the exceptional climb of Tilicho Peak, the other highlights of this trek are Tilicho Lake and Marsayangdi River. Tilicho Lake sits at an elevation of 4,920m below Tilicho Peak (7,134m). The challenging pass of Mesokanto La Pass sits at an altitude of 5,200m.
The trek to Tilicho Peak is an adventure in itself. The trail can be uneven at times and has substantial ascents and descents. Although rigors of the trail are worth the effort to reach this incredible region of the Himalayan Mountains and maybe climb a classic peak in the Annapurna range.
Along the way, you can encounter the excellent views of Annapurna Range II (7,937m) and Mt. Lamjung (6,983m) along the way. Not only is this area rich with natural wonders, but the diverse culture and different ethnic groups of the region make Tilicho peak climbing worth our visit.
