Central and Western Bhutan Tour

Central Bhutan with its many monasteries and places of religious significance is known as its cultural heartland and is famous for its apple orchards while the west is known for its scenic beauty of paddy fields, beautiful valleys, the clear river flowing through its main cities and beautiful colorful houses. We will be witnessing these subtle differences in the different region and their confluence of unique cultures and traditions in our tour of the Central and Western Bhutan.

This Central and Western Bhutan tour will begin in Paro from where we will make our way to the capital city Thimpu followed by visits to Punakha, Haa valley and the famous tigers’ nest monastery which is situated atop a hill 900m above the ground. We will also be indulging in some local food that has taken much inspiration from the neighboring countries of Nepal and India, often being spicy and tangy in nature. There are also a number of local brews that we can choose from to enjoy, that have been made from local harvest. The entire nation of Bhutan takes cues on living from Buddhism and its influences can be felt in every aspect of life. Along with the lush green valley by crystal clear rivers, Bhutan is also home to Himalayan giants such as the Gangkhar Puensum (7,570m) and Jomolhari (7,3114m). This tour is a perfect gateway for family or friends who want to relax and rewind in peace in a short span of time.
