Day 1
Arrival at Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu Valley, you will be greeted by a representative from our office. You will then be transferred to the hotel. At the hotel, you will have a briefing about the daily activities and other details important to a safe and enjoyable trek.

Day 2
Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and trek preparation (1,300m/4,264ft)

Today is for sightseeing the beautiful Kathmandu Valley and its significant religious and cultural places guided by our experts. You will visit the historical and cultural sites of Kathmandu which many are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Sites such as Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa can be visited. Private transportation will take you through the busy streets of Kathmandu making a stop for lunch at an authentic neighborhood Nepali eatery.

Day 3
Fly to Lukla and head to Phakding (2610mm/8,700ft)

Early the next morning we take a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu which is about 40 minutes. Some exceptional views can be seen of the spectacular mountains, lush green valleys, and lakes from the plane. Once landed we will meet the other trekking crew waiting there, and trek downhill to the village of Phakding located on the banks of river Dudh Koshi.

Day 4
To Namche Bazar (3,440m/11,283ft)

The trail clings tightly along the left bank of Dudh Koshi River and through a pine forest, passing by the villages as Bengkar, Monjo, and Jorsalle. We then reach Namche Bazaar, the main trading hub of the Khumbu region. Along with the market, Namche Bazaar is famous for altitude acclimatization.

Day 5
Acclimatization Day

Namche Bazaar is also known as ‘Passage to Everest' and we will spend the day here by doing a short trek to the historical center. Discover the culture and traditions of Sherpa along with information about the natural history of the region.

Day 6
Trek to Dhole (4,200m/13,779ft)

After breakfast in Namche Bazar, we will continue our trek from Namche Bazar to Dhole. On our way, we will visit the monasteries and see breathtaking snowcapped mountains, namely Mt Everest (8848m). Continuing along the trail, we reach Tenga which is the checkpoint of Sagarmatha National Park. We then trek ahead from Tangwa Kharka and finally reach Dhole.

Day 7
To Machhermo (4,470m/14,665ft)

On this day, we will pass through beautiful villages like Kele and Luza with lovely cultivated fields. Continuing on the trail allows us to view the activities of village and farming life, and finally, we arrive at Machhermo. Here we can see the spectacular mountain view of Kyajo Ri (6186m).

Day 8
To Gokyo (4,790m/15,715ft)

Today we will trek to ascend steeply up to Gokyo Village. We pass through the villages of Karnasa and Phangga. On the way, we will also see stunning views of Mt. Chadoten (5360m) and our first views of Lake Longponga Tsho (4710m). Walking ahead we reach the second Lake which is Taujung Tsho (4740m). After that, we continue walking and arrive at Gokyo Village.

Day 9
Acclimatization day

This is also a free day to visit the main highlights of Gokyo and spend another day acclimatizing. First, we will go around the Gokyo Tso which is the main attraction of this region. Then we will hike towards Gokyo Ri (5360m). From here we are rewarded with excellent views of Mt. Everest (8848m) and Mt. Makalu (8463m). If we have enough time, then we can visit a few more lakes in the area. Then we will return back to Gokyo and enjoy a hearty meal and spend the night.

Day 10
Gokyo to Thangnak (4,700m/15,419ft)

Today we trek to Thangnak early in the morning to see the first rays of dawn kiss the crown of Mt Everest. As the trail continues on we see views of the Ngozumpa Glacier. Next, the trail navigates along the edge and afterward wanders into Thangnak. It will be a short climb today with an evening of rest which will set us up for long climbing days to come.

Day 11
To Chola Pass and Dzongla (4,830m/15,846ft)

Today will be a challenging but rewarding day of the excursion. The Cho La Pass (5420m) isn't itself troublesome, however, it is steep and includes rocky terrain to navigate on the eastern side. We should be watchful as the trail is vertical and the stones coated by ice may cause walking to tricky. The trail from Cho La to Phedi also descends into a beautiful gorge. The pyramidal Ama Dablam (6856m) is viewable from here as well as Cholatse (6335m) Lobuche (6145m) East and Baruntse (7129m). The trail then winds its way to Dzongla Village. The town gives awesome perspectives of Cholatse (6335m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Lobuche (6145m) mountains.

Day 12
Dzongla to Lobuche (4,910m/16,108ft)

With a view of Mt Everest (8848m) and Pumori (7165m) in the backdrop, we descend from Dzongla along a grassy path to reach Chola Tsho. We then follow the curving trail leading to the tombstones of the deceased mountaineers, from where we follow the moraines of Khumbu Glacier until we reach Lobuche. We will have plenty of time to explore the village which sits on the foot of Lobuche East (6119m). Stay overnight in Lobuche.

Day 13
Gorakshep - Everest Base Camp (5364m) - Gorakshep (5,140m/16,863ft)

Continue climbing alongside Khumbu Glacier to reach the frozen Gorakshep Tsho. The trail forwards takes us through a snow covered trail leading towards Everest Base Camp. Upon reaching the base camp, we can see colorful tents of mountaineers aiming to summit the giant Everest (8848m) against the amazing backdrop composed of gorgeous peaks of Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m), Khumbutse (6665m), Pumo Ri (7165m), and many other peaks of the Khumbu Himalayas. After spending some quality time at the base camp, we return to Gorakshep for the overnight stay.

Day 14
Kala Pattar - Pheriche (4,240m/13,910ft)

The day begins before dawn to reach the summit of Kala Patthar for sunrise and watch the first golden rays drop over the summit of Mt. Everest (8848m). Snap some pictures, and appreciate the glorious mountain display after which we will trek back and down to Lobuche for a decent night's rest. Those members group who wish to visit Everest Base Camp today will have an early breakfast to begin ahead of schedule as the climb to Everest base camp takes longer than the Kala Patthar climb.

Day 15
To Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft)

We trek down through slopes covered by rhododendron and juniper trees. In the forest, we may have the chance to see brilliant birds. The way inevitably reaches Sansa from where we can appreciate the perspectives of Ama Dablam (6856m) and Thamserku (6608m). After an opportunity to take in the sights the trail continues on to stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 16
To Lukla (2840m/8,700ft)

The trail descends downward and crosses the suspension bridge over the fast flowing Dudh Koshi and its tributaries. After which the trail becomes leveler. Concluding our trek on this day, through a mostly moderate uphill trail, we will reach Lukla in about 7 hours and exchange farewells to our trekking crew.

Day 17
To Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

A Forty-minute flight will take us back to the capital and you will be transferred to your hotel to enjoy the day as per your own discretion before attending the farewell dinner. This marks the final day of our adventure-filled journey. In the evening, you can roam the streets of Thamel and buy Nepali handicrafts for your loved ones.

Day 18
Departure

After your breakfast, our team member will drop you at the airport. This day you will board the flight to your home country or next destination.
