Island Peak is anything but ordinary, and for the hobby climber wishing to enter the extraordinary world of mountain climbing, this peak should be at the top of the list. Island Peak is a phenomenal experience in the Himalayas of Nepal and along the way, beautiful villages are filled with the warmest and most hospitable people imaginable.

Island Peak Climbing is not highly technical and is intended for any ambitious and physically fit trekkers with little to no mountaineering experience. Island Peak (6,189m/20,305ft) is one of the premier climbing peaks of the “trekking peaks” in the Everest Region of Nepal with an exceptionally glaciated West Face that ascends from the Lhotse Glacier. The trek to Island Peak additionally brings us into the heartland of the Khumbu Valley and the Sherpa culture. Upon visiting many of the old monasteries will offer an experience to learn more about the Sherpa culture and traditions. Among the monasteries to visit, Tengboche Monastery is traditionally popular and the largest monastery in the whole Khumbu Region. The highlight of the tour is, of course, the summit of Island Peak and will award memories for a lifetime. The best views imaginable of Mt. Everest (8848), Mt. Makalu (8463), Mt. Lhotse (8414m) along with other peaks will delight all those who endeavor to attempt its lofty summit. The staff for this Island Peak Climb is experienced Sherpas, many of whom have summited Everest on more than one occasion.
