Gaurishankar is the other highlights of the tree beside the lake itself.

Yetis, live in the Rolwaling Valley which is one of the seven hidden valleys. The route is nearby the Nepal-Tibet border so you might as well get to explore the Tibetan culture. You follow your path along the Tamakoshi River where you pass through several picturesque and quaint villages into Rolwaling valley; the tales of the abominable snowman- the Yetis- haunt the imagination of the trekkers Then, finally reach the magnificent glacial Tso-Rolpa Lake.

More about Tsho-Rolpa Lake Trek

The lake is one of the biggest glacial lakes in Nepal and has grown continuously over the last five decades because of glacial melting and threatens to burst through its unstable dam. In awe of the glacial lake surrounded by the magnificent Himalayas, the difficulties during the trek are instantly forgotten. One other highlight of Tsho-Rolpa Lake Trek is the Bigu Gompa. Bigu Gompa is a great nunnery institute which once sheltered over 300 nuns. It lies in the village of Bigu. Bigu is a village at the foot of the Rolwaling Himal which is a quaint village where one can explore the local village culture and excellent mountain views. It is considered a difficult journey, but the journey and the destination make an affordable cost of effort and difficulty. It is a better choice to trek in seasons other than the monsoon and the winter.

Tsho-Rolpa Lake Trek has much more to offer besides the quaint villages, mountains, and glaciers. Embarking on a journey to the lake is the only way to find it out. Our friendly and experienced team is ever-present for making your dream journey to the lake possible as well as memorable.
